Launched in 1990, the TVR Griffith represented a step up in production quality and performance for the marque. This beautiful 1996 example is the highly sought after ‘500’ model, boasting a 5 litre Rover V8 producing 340hp as well as the rare and desirable power steering option.
Despite this Griffith’s relatively high mileage, it has only covered 21k miles since 2004 and is accompanied by an enviable paperwork folder. The outriggers were replaced by marque specialist Neil Garner in 2016, with more recent work including removal of the alarm/immobiliser and fitting of a new starter motor.
The Stardust Silver bodywork sits on original ‘Estroil’ wheels and is complimented by a blue fabric roof. The exterior is in expected condition for a car of this age and mileage, a few scuffs, minor cracks and stone chips present, but it is presentable and offers the chance to use as it is or improve it over time. The blue leather trim and embroidered carpets also present well for the age of the car with no tears in the leather and general wear in frequently used areas.
This is a fantastic opportunity to own an appreciating and highly sought after car whose performance can be enjoyed as it is or enhanced with some minor cosmetic work.
