Redline-developed coolant crossover kit for the Ford 4.6-litre quad-cam V8 engine as fitted to the Marcos Mantis.
The kit replaces the core plug at the rear of the cylinder head, allowing coolant to flow through the left-hand cylinder head rather than leaving it as a dead-end coolant passage.
We have seen significantly higher temperatures around cylinders 7 and 8 on engines without this modification. In severe cases this additional heat can contribute to detonation, ring ends butting together and eventual piston crown damage.
The kit is designed to improve coolant circulation through the rear of the cylinder head and help reduce these localised hot spots.
Supplied as a complete kit ready for installation.
